The Whole is Greater Than Its Parts
Zrii’s formulation of seven Ayurvedic and traditional botanicals is an exceptional liquid nutritional supplement, delivering a host of nutrients that are important to the physical body. But it goes far beyond simply being a “physical” supplement by positively affecting the mind, emotions, and spirit. The key to accessing these other areas of health lies in Zrii’s incorporation of key Ayurvedic priniciples—such as synergy, balance, taste and vibration.
Many nutritional products simply focus on one ingredient and its potential benefits. Ayurveda on the other hand, teaches that certain plants, fruits or other natural substances can synergistically enhance the bioavailability of other ingredients. While the amalaki fruit is the “star” of Zrii’s formulation, it is still only one piece of the product’s superior, synergistic blend.
Unlike many products that focus on just one aspect of health—such as antioxidant protection, for instance – Zrii’s ingredient profile is balanced in such a way that it can positively affect all four areas of health. We know from modern scientific research that each of the seven ingredients exerts distinct influences on the physiology. For example, amalaki and turmeric are powerful free radicals fighters, tulsi supports healthy cardiovascular system, ginger acts as a natural anti-inflammatory, and haritaki serves as a mild detoxifying agent. In the area of mental health, we find that schizandra and jujube are recognized as mental “tonics” and adaptogens that promote healthy sleep, reduce stress and support mental function.
According to ancient Ayurvedic texts, there are 6 tastes found in food—sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent, and astringent—and each of these is said to have a specific influence on the body, mind, and emotions. Spicy foods, for example, are said to open the channels of the body, while enlivening the mind and emotions. Sweet tastes, on the other hand, are said to build the tissues of the body, while calming or pacifying the mind and emotions. From an Ayurvedic perspective, containing a balance of these tastes is therefore beneficial for a broad based nutritional supplement. Through containing botanicals such as amalaki, haritaki and schizandra, which are each known to contain 5 of the 6 tastes on their own, the greater balance and synergy of tastes in Zrii is thought to benefit the mind and emotions.
Ayurvedic texts refer to the different “vibratory qualities” of plants, these qualities depend on the species of the plant, where it grows, and how it is harvested. The 7 botanicals in Zrii are considered some of the most vital herbs and fruits in the entire plant kingdom. According to Ayurveda, these have the abilityto directly affect all four levels of health.
