Archetypes

Negative Archetype imprints are removed in the Karma Removal sessions. Archetypes are patterns of energy that are easily recognizable and resonant to human beings, and become the unconscious frameworks that determine how/why people think and react. Archetypes are universally familiar characters or situations that transcend time, place, culture, gender, and age. They represent eternal truths and they provide us with an understanding of our emotional experiences – both of what we are and what we would like to become.  Through these life dramas we learn about the different values that underpin our attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors.  Self-realization (sometimes called individuation) is partly instinctual.  When you intersect with an archetype, you connect with an energy that mirrors your own energy.  People contact their archetypes without even knowing they have.  When we talk about someone "pushing our buttons" or "love at first sight," we enter the realm of archetype.  When we hear inner voices, or our friends say, "That isn't like you," we are displaying an archetype.  When we are beside ourselves with rage, or when we notice ourselves looking exactly like mom or dad, when we speak words we do not intend to say, or goof ourselves up in any number of ways, we are exhibiting an archetype. They are the "givens" in our psychological makeup, the patterns that shape our perceptions of the world, the furnishings that are present in our psychological home from the moment of birth. We inherit the same forms, but each of us fills in the content by the way we experience our lives. Thus, Father might be a positive archetype to one person, but it might be filled with negative meaning for another. By exploring the archetypal figures you manifest, you can develop a more complete, whole sense of self.  Archetypes are powerful for helping you notice what you are doing with your energy €”or even to make your life a bit more exciting or relaxing, once you choose to manifest them consciously.

Archetypes are neither good nor bad. They simply are. Archetypes are not susceptible to being sugarcoated or tamed by civilization; they live an autonomous existence at the root of our psyches in their original raw and primitive states. To most humans, with our limited awareness of the natural cycles of life and our fear of suffering, certain archetypal qualities seem good and others seem bad. We are attracted to the "positive," creating, nurturing aspects of Mother, for example, but terrified of her "negative" qualities such as her terrible fierce possessiveness, or her power of life and death over us.

Each chakra has a functional and a dysfunctional corresponding archetype to the qualities and challenges associated with that chakra. Archetypes are far more black and white than real life is so that we can see more clearly the choices they offer.  However there are times when both functional and dysfunctional archetypes are valuable for spiritual growth.  While we may choose to suppress our €œdark Side we should accept that we can never totally eradicate it.  Our mission toward self-ownership and enlightenment includes acknowledging those parts of ourselves that we may not instinctively like or admire; our free will is strengthened from never letting them have total power over us. These archetypes are transformed by conscious awareness.  The more responsibility we take for our personal archetypes, the more empowered we are and the more energy we have available for our health, creativity, and JOY.  By identifying the patterns we may have embedded into our neural pathways and which are outwardly projected as particular behaviors, we can choose to discard those that no longer serve us.  Recognizing our negativity opens the chakra and psychologically empowers us and revitalizes our health. Understanding how archetypes influence our lives and take responsibility for the negative attitudes that block our ALIVENESS and HAPPINESS, we heal an aspect of ourselves and move onto higher ground.

7 Main Chakra Functional and Dysfunctional Archetypes

7th Crown Chakra

Functional: The Guru- Gurus are people who realize who they are.  They know that the divine force flows through them and they are identified with that as the substratum of their being, rather than the temporal parts of their life.  They let life move through them and take them even deeper into consciousness itself.

Dysfunctional: The Egotist- Egotists are people who think their efforts alone carry them through life.  They believe that they are separate from a greater whole of existence and that their striving and effort controls the outcome of their life. A crisis point in mid-life occurs when a deep longing for meaning and purpose fails to be assuaged by materials success.  The cry Is that it€, €œIs this all my life is about€ is common for Egocentrics.  Traumatic experiences may find them floundering.  Why does sheer willpower no longer serve?  It is only then that the Egotist can learn the lesson which the Guru has already long embraced- the surrender to Divine Will or €œa detachment from outcomes€.  Self determination and tight control over their own lives make the Egotist value materialism, only to find, when this is no longer meaningful, that they lack the inner resources to get more from life.

The life issues of this chakra are selfless realization of your indelible connection with the greater whole of life, creation of a vital and resilient spiritual context for holding your life experiences.

6th Third Eye Chakra

Functional: The Psychic- This does not refer to just people who use their powers in a professional sense, but anyone who trusts that the answers to life’s challenges lie within themselves. This is a person who has cultivated wisdom.  Wise people offer the best of their life experience to assist others along the path of life.  They encourage spiritual pursuits and physical adventures as well as guiding us in making optimally wholesome choices for ourselves.  Wise people live by universal principles and trusts in a higher source to guide them through the peaks and valleys of life, and with good fortune they assist us in leading ours.

Dysfunctional: The Rationalist- This is a person who draws only on information from the limited resources of rational, analytic thinking without incorporating either the emotional or spiritual aspects of life.  Intellectuals seldom have a holistic assessment of a situation.  Their thinking tends to be dry, lifeless, and without energy.  They are limited in their scope because they trust only conventional ideas.  They are often judgmental and narrow in their outlook. They have chosen not to trust their feelings, insights and inner wisdom- perhaps because these aspects of themselves were ridiculed in childhood.  Rationalists force themselves to abide by a set of rules that becomes increasingly limiting and isolationist.

The life issues for this chakra is to focus your intelligence to know who and what are for your highest good and greatest JOY; to obtain wisdom from your life experiences both good and difficult; to choose life; health, joy and fulfillment in every aspect of your life.

5th Throat Chakra

Functional The Communicator- This is a person who loves from personal integrity. Having worked through their lower chakra and achieved the compassion required of the heart communicators know that if others do not €œhear€ what they have to say this is not an indication of their communicative abilities but merely demonstrates that the recipient is not yet at a stage when they can take on board what is being said.  Communicators tell the truth to the best of their ability.  They are skilled in putting words to their feelings and are able to stand up for what they believe.  They say no when they need to and their word can be trusted.

Dysfunctional: The Silent Child- This is a person who has suppressed expressiveness because of fear or shame. This pain is often caused by childhood traumas when the silent child was brought up to be “seen and not heard”, frequently told to “shut up”, and made to feel that their opinions were worthless.  In order to cope with this rejection of their true Self they suppressed it.  That sad child remains locked in adult form, choosing to neglect responsibility for growing up and taking charge of life.  These people hide their feelings and are not connected to their higher truth.  They say yes when they mean no. Sometimes the silent child appears as a clown, someone who is always laughing, making jokes, and taking on unrealistically positive view of any situation.  In reality they are putting up a front in an attempt to hide the tragedy of feeling that no-one loves or will listen to them.

The life issue for this chakra is to harness your will, to express your highest truth, to live creatively.

4th Heart Chakra

The heart chakra further develops the internal focus that started with the lower chakras and is concerned with balancing the love of others and the love of ourselves.  This central chakra is the passage through which we move from the lower to the higher centers, shifting us from the realm of basic needs into the realm of blessings.  Our challenge is to pass the tests of unconditional love, compassion and forgiveness.

Functional: The Lover- Lovers are magnetic, radiant individuals who truly €œown€ themselves.  They are easily recognizable because it is impossible not to be affected by their positive energy. This is a person whose ground of being is centered in the heart.  They love unconditionally, and heal the tight, hard places in those they touch because they bring warmth and acceptance.  They generate goodness and are genuinely embracing and kind.  Their love is inclusive, uniting those on the outside.  They share love with everyone.  They know that to love is to live.  Knowing this archetype changes your life for the good.

Dysfunctional: The Actor/Actress- They have expectations about the how and whom they can love.  If someone falls outside of the realm of their conditions they withhold their love.  They love in the limited way they have been loved, with judgment, and criticism for what does not fit into their framework.  They love through imitation rather than true feeling.  Their relationships often dry up because they have not developed a capacity to hold love in their hearts. A common example of this personality is the co-dependent, who looks outside for the love they crave, kidding themselves that their wounds will be healed by finding someone else to draw strength(energy) from.  However, fear of betrayal, one of the emotional dysfunctions of the heart chakra, sabotages any chance of real happiness with another.

The life issue for this chakra is to let unconditional love be the center of your life.

Attitudes of Co-Dependency

  • I make you responsible for my happiness.
  • My good feelings about who I am stem from being liked by you.
  • My good feelings about who I am stem from receiving approval from you.
  • Your struggles affect my serenity.
  • My mental attention focuses on solving your problems or relieving your pain.
  • My mental attention is focused on pleasing you.
  • My mental attention is focused on manipulating you to €œdo it my way€.
  • My self-esteem is bolstered by relieving your pain.
  • My own hobbies and interests are put aside.  My time is spent sharing your interest and hobbies.
  • Your clothing and personal appearance is dictated by my desires as I feel you are a reflection of me.
  • Your behavior is dictated by my desires as I feel you are a reflection of me.
  • I am not aware of how I feel.  I am not aware of what I want; I ask what YOU want.
  • The dream that I have for the future are linked to you.
  • My fear of rejection determined what I say and do.
  • I use giving as a way of feeling safe in our relationship.
  • My social circle diminished as I involved myself with you.
  • I put my values aside in order to connect with you.
  • I value your opinion and way of doing things more that I do my own.
  • The quality of my life is in relation to the quality of yours.

3rd Solar Plexus Chakra

Functional: The Warrior- The warrior is an empowered person with a definitive sense of selfhood.  Warriors know who they are in themselves and in relation to the world. Their sense of self is neither inflated nor weak.  They have the inner strength and resilience to see their dreams materialize into reality and the stamina to meet physical and emotional challenges.  They are able to fight the good fight for love, victory and the glory of god.

Dysfunctional: The Servant- This is a person whose sense of personal identity is anchored in the external world, always seeking confirmation from others.  Servants work hard for others’ acknowledgement.  They sabotage themselves by giving their power to others to define who they are and what they need to do.  They lose energy trying to please others for the affirmation they are unable to give themselves. Feelings of unworthiness live strong in this archetype.

The life issues for this chakra is to develop a strong knowing that you are worthy simply because of your divine existence!

2nd Sacral Chakra

Functional: The Emperor/Empress- This is a person who enjoys and respects the physical world.  They love to have abundance, well-being, and a high degree of pleasure.  They know they deserve to feel good about life and enjoy good food, comfort and some luxury.  They are not necessarily spiritual by nature but they do feel at home on the physical plane and enjoy the good life.

Dysfunctional: The Martyr- This is a person who deprives themselves of the simple physical pleasures of life.  At some basic level, they feel cheated of the goodness of life and punish themselves by forbidding themselves the warmth and comfort they long for.  Martyrs revel in self-pity, they are the €poor me€™'s€ of society.  They make what they regard as sacrifices for others that are rarely appreciated or even acknowledged.  The mental self-flagellation of Martyrs comes from the belief that they deserve all the unhappiness and misery that comes their way.  So they whine and complain, but never take any action.  Many societies and religious groups encourage this belief through messages such as œLife is touch€, €œYou only get what you want through hard work and sacrifice€ and €œThink of others rather than yourself€. Martyrs are full of guilt and project this onto others, making them suffer too.

The life issues for this chakra is to know that who you are and what you do are enough; to have enough rest, food, exercise, fun and money; not to link self-worth with what you do or have; to create healthy boundaries to protect your vital life force.

1st Root Chakra

Functional: The Mother- This is a person either male or female who is nurturing positive and hopeful.  Mothers encourage, acknowledge, and affirm our being through love, kindness, and absolute faith in the goodness of life.  They make the dark moments bearable because they bring us hope of a positive outcome.

Dysfunctional: The Victim- This is a person let themselves become vulnerable, needy, and ungrounded.  They feel that they cannot exert influence, effect change, or take control of situations. Victims stay alive through the grace and generosity of other agencies and have little chance of renewing their connection with life as long as they remain dependent upon others to maintain life

The life issue for this chakra is to value the material as sacred to find trust in place of despair to persevere.
